Love Magazine Trailer

This new advert for Love Magazine commissioned by editor Katie Grand was shot by director James Lima, who has previously done special effects for 'Avatar' and 'Terminator'. It was shot in New York, featuring models:

Agyness Deyn, Dree Hemingway, Lindsey Wixson, Rasa Zukauskaite, Kasia Struss, Jeneil Williams, Pixie Geldof

and Alessandra Ambrosio. I think it's great!

Holly Fulton Autumn Winter 2010

Holly Fulton is back with her bold, graphic prints. Her first solo catwalk was packed out and showed off her statement XXL jewellery, 60's and 80's influenced art deco prints, all teamed with brightly coloured heels or studded hightop canvas shoes. Her tag line for the collection was "It's only black and white but I like it" which i think is perfect.

Milly Autumn Winter 2010

Milly's new Autumn Winter range is great, nothing too serious or in your face. Making use of bright golds and pinks. And bold statement tights teamed with sweet little jackets paying reference to Chanel or cute skirts. I think Michelle Smith is really in touch with what the young girls want at the moment, these outfits are perfect for Autumn and Winter days out and parties in the evening by bringing back that splash of colour from the summer. The collection has been titled "Classique = Moderne" as she like many other designers is mixing new and old.

New York Fashion Week

I've just been flicking through New York fashion week photos looking at which celebrities, designers and the such have been attending which collection showings. There seems to be a re-accuring theme/face... Look who turned up on the front row at the Alexander Wang and Marc by Marc Jacobs run way.

Kate Halfpenny

At the 2010 Brits, Pixie Lott looked stunning, wearing this beautiful black dress topped with lace sleeves by young designer Kate Halfpenny. I've always associated Halfpenny's work with wedding dresses, so it was great to see something smaller. Her work is simple, yet unique and often includes stunning back pieces. Wedding dresses with low backs, featuring flowers and lace. Such a great look.

Vivienne Westwood SS110 Accessories + Underwear

So Vivienne Westwood has just shown off her new accessories and underwear collection for spring/summer 2010. It's sharp and too the point, nothing over the top and impractical. The campaign, shot my photographers Sean And Seng, has been titled 'Leonard Peltier Is Innocent'.

I have no idea who Leonard Peltier is, so i thought i'd quickly wiki him...

"Leonard Peltier (born September 12, 1944) is an American activist and member of the American Indian Movement (AIM) who was convicted and sentenced in 1977 to two consecutive terms of life imprisonment for the murder of two Federal Bureau of Investigation agents during a 1975 shootout on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation."

Mishka Spring 2010

Here's a few of my favourite snaps from Mishka's 2010 Lookbook. It was shot by photographer Marley Kate. It's got a good vintage feel to the photography. And i love the american teenage inspired collections: baseball caps and jackets with relaxed trousers and button shirts. Looks incredible.

R.I.P Lee Alexander McQueen

Okay, so unless you haven't been outside or watched the news in the past week, you'll know designer Alexander McQueen hung himself on the 11th February 2010, his next collection was due this coming week. I'm really hoping it does him justice, as his last collection wasn't that great. I'm not being rude, but i really think he can do better, and he is one of the greatest designers so he deserves to be remembered for his best. So i thought i'd leave you with a few of my personal favourites. McQueen came into the fashion world through an apprenticeship in Savile Row, same as me. I can only dream it leads me onto things as great as him.

Also i'm sorry about the lack of post's recently. I've been away in Spain throwing fruit at prostitutes. I'll catch up with all the things i've missed and put up a few Spanish photos when i have a minute to myself.

It's not all about naked girls, i think when he mentions someone once saying his work was "honest", that really spoke to me, i think that is the most perfect way to describe his work.
