Sarah Burtons first full womens collection for Alexander Mcqueen is stunning. She said her goal was to "juxtapose the pale and the delicate with the bold and armorial. It's about a highly structured torso that gives way to a more fluid silhouette or drop waists that lead to a finned trouser or skirt."

Dolce & Gabbana Mens Spring 2010
Love this collection from Dolce and Gabbana. I'm gunna take a stab at the theme being: picnic! Look at the bags full of french baguettes and fresh vegetables, the shirts and shorts with the picnic matt looking checks! Good looking collection! I really want the Johnny Depp, 'Cry Baby' T-shirt. Love that film. And i always enjoy constrast pockets and edging on shirts and shorts. I also loved the way the catwalk ran, starting off green, then the clothes shifted to red, brown, blue and white. So no yellow here! Theres also a few double breasted jackets to spice it up a bit, which i haven't seen from any of the other designers so far. Or is there someone i've missed?

Dsquared2 Mens Spring 2011
Now this is great. Dsquared2 catwalks are always something i look forward too. They show a mature look at the standard nautical theme that always accompanies spring. Using the bold colours like many others, but also dropping in denim shirts again. (I wonder how long these will stick around for!?) The shorts and trousers and loose and floaty and the bright colours work well alongside the navy blues and whites.
Moschino Spring 2011
I'm a little bit lost in this. I know what they're aiming for but so many different ideas, i think the clothing becomes lost. Some strange sort of bring rave punk thing. A lot of people are going to block bright colours which is fine. And this is working well here with the piping on the blazer, or the rolled up trousers and patent shoes. But why mix this with plaids, studs and rips in the same collection?

Alexander McQueen Mens Spring 2011
So like i said before, Sarah Burton is at the helm of the great McQueen house. And here's a look at a few items from the latest mens wear catwalk for Spring 2011. I think it's absalutley wonderful. She's retained the feel of Alexander McQueen, with the odd fits, large patches, selective prints and checks. Whilst bringing in something of her own. With these lighter colours.

Sarah Burtons At Alexander McQueen
Here's a quick look at new creative director, Sarah Burtons, first solo collection for Alexander McQueen. The awkward shapes are still there in the trousers and the single breasted jackets. All looks great. But alot cleaner than McQueens own. I always think of McQueen as a dirtier, grungy look. If you can remember last spring, when the trousers had hand prints and blazers had paint smears and chalk lines.

Manolo Blahnik For Liberty Of London
From the 10th September, Liberty Of London will be home to new boutique, World Of Manolo. Where they will sell shoes designed my legendary shoe designer Manolo Blahnik featuring iconic Liberty prints. There will also be scarves, candles and some new Liberty prints. I think these shoes look great. And one more little treat is they'll be showcasing Blahnik's new AW10' range!

Vogue Paris Girl Meets Boy June 2010
Vogue Paris, June 2010 issue see's 'Girl Meets Boy' editorial, featuring model Raquel Zimmermann, styled by Emmanuelle Alt and shot by photographer David Sims.
The make up is reminiscent of David Bowie Alladin Sane and the photos have that heavy vintage haze that is so popular at the moment. I don't really like the outfits as a whole but i think there are a few cool pieces in there. Not keen on shirts tucked in. But i like the one with the rolled up red leather trousers, with the socks matching the white UNTUCKED shirt and the heavy buckled black leather jacket.

Nycked by Lorenzo Martone
Jewellery designer Jules Kim of Bijules and Lorenzo Martone (spouse of Marc Jacobs) have got together to produce a swimwear collection inspired by New York, specifically Manhattan. Note the name has NYC in it although it is pronounced 'nicked'. The collection will be on show at Miami Swim Fashion week in July. I really enjoy the bikini top on the left with the untied bow tie and the neck.

Lara Stone For Calvin Klein
So Lara Stone is replacing Eva Mendes as the Calvin Klein model. For the first time Calvin Klein will be using the same model for all three sections. Lara Stone will be the face of the fall campaigns for Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans. She will be exclusively modelling for Calvin Klein, being her only apparel label she'll work with and on runway for.
Julien Macdonald Winter 2010
I really like Julien Macdonalds Winter collection, i love the lingerie feel to his dresses and tops, reinforcing the under-wear as outer wear fashion. A lot of designers went for corsets, which i felt was a bit to obvious. I prefer these sheer fabrics such as organza and chiffon. I noticed Cheryl Cole sporting one of the dresses at the Glamour Magazine's awards, in which she won Glamour's woman of the year award! In case you weren't aware of Julien Macdonald, he started his career as head designer of knit wear for Chanel and Lagerfeld. Macdonald was also creative director at Givenchy for 3 years designing almost 20 collections before leaving to start his own label.
